thanks

Had a wonderful thanksgiving with some of my family and some friends. Ate waaaaay too much. I have a lot to be thankful for. My family, friends and health. Rich just had a health scare but it was okay. He still needs to see one more doc on Monday so hopefully all will be okay soon.
The dogs were very thankful for their turkey dinner tonight. Legend jumped on my mom a few times but we finally got her to settle down.
I have to go to work tomorrow so I will be missing all the good sales, booooohoooo.

excited!

I'm going to be in my first show this Saturday at Gleason Park in Indian Harbour Beach, so if you're in the area, please stop by and say hello! I have been pretty busy putting some things together and I think I have a nice assortment. I have to admit I'm a bit nervous, I hope people like my stuff. I usually try to make things I like so if it doesn't sell, I can wear it. Please stop by even if you're coming just to browse!
I love this time of year when all the art and craft shows start. I've always liked going to them to see what people create so I'm excited to be in a small one. There is also another show this weekend, both Saturday and Sunday in downtown Eau Gallie, I'm going on Sunday as a browser!

shopping day

I took my mom to the Mall at Millenia on Saturday and met two friends, Sheila and Deena for lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. Lunch was delicious, I had the seared tuna salad, yum! Didn't go in too many stores, mainly Crate and Barrel and Pottery Barn Bed and Bath. Can't afford most of the stuff in that mall, it's very high end. After the mall I went to FDJ tool and got some jewelry supplies.
I'm going to be a vendor in the Indian Harbour Beach art and craft show on Saturday so I've been trying to make some new earrings. Seems I have pendants out the ying yang so I'm good there.

back again

I've been neglecting this blog too long. After I lost Spencer, my dad passed, then my other male dog, Denver. September was a really bad month for me but things seem to be getting better now.
I'm going to be in my first craft show November 21. I'm excited and nervous!
Last month I joined the Canaveral Mineral and Gem Society, what a great group of people. I signed up for about 5 classes, just have to wait for openings. They put on a wonderful gem show at the Melbourne Auditorium last weekend. I didn't have much moolah but I did buy some aquamarine beads, pretty pink coral beads and some frosted agate which I have never seen before. It's in blue hues so I will probably incorporate it into my beachy jewelry.

a blue day

Well, I haven't posted in quite a while, I'm going to try and be better about my blog. Tara was here for awhile, 2 months and we had a good time while she was here. Unfortunately, one of my Goldens, Spencer, 11 years old, had to be put down so that was very sad. He had terrible elbow dysplasia from a young age and had surgery when he was 15 months old, he also had the beginnings of arthritis. He injured one of his back legs recently and it wasn't healing. We felt he was in pain, even with meds and was beginning to feel depressed so we opted to have him go peacefully.
I'm still having fun making my jewelry and I'm going to try my very first craft show in Novemeber. I hope I can make enough inventory by then. How much is enough??

rain, rain go away

It's been raining for days..... I think it might actually slow down starting tomorrow. Poor people north of us are really getting nailed, over 600 buildings are flooded. I drove along A1A, the beach today and quite a few people had picnic tables reserved and were doing their holiday thing, in the pouring rain.
Last week I had a cystoscopy without anesthesia of any type. Ouch!! That's something I won't repeat again. I really don't advise it for anyone.  Not much else going on. Seems all I do is go to work, come home, watch some tube, go to bed, get up and do it all again.

Itchy feet

OMG, my feet look like they have the measles! Last Wednesday, Rich and I met some friends in Sebastian Inlet park for a cook out. The no-see-ums (aka sand fleas) were out in force. Rich and I call them flying teeth. You can barely see them but you can sure feel them. I had jeans on so they mostly chewed up my feet. Other than that, it was a wonderful evening.
I had a pedicure last weekend and had my toenails painted purple, they really look awful with my red spotted feet, as soon as the bites clear up I'm going to get another pedicure with a more fitting color.
